Tom Murphy’s back…

Praise the lord and all that stuff, Tom Murphy is back, and best of all he’s written a book you can download for free…. I haven’t accessed it yet because I’ve only just found out, but I can guarantee it’s worth every electron you’ll use to get a copy, Tom must be close to being the smartest man in the universe…..

Its interesting seeing this material put together as a textbook. It should be a mandatory course for everyone at uni to do – like I had to do a general arts subject as part of my engineering degree. Being a textbook, he’s pulled his punches, but I’m sure students discussing these matters would get to them.

Mike, I downloaded the pdf 20 March and very recently had a chance to start reading. At this point I only got through chapter 6. So far, it is excellent. I have posted a short piece on “demographic transition” with excerpts from the chapter on population in a couple FB groups dealing with the population overshoot problem.
