Freak weather explained……..

Did anyone else watch Catalyst on ABC TV last night…? They did an extremely good job of explaining how the weather is going https://i2.wp.com/www.abc.net.au/catalyst/stories/img/Extremeweather_small.jpghaywire, and even why global warming is causing freezing weather… well worth the 18 minute download.

Ooops tried to reply using the email –
Yes I did watch the programme and if you did not see it, it is well worth the time. Certainly the “Jet Stream” is going to become a house hold phrase..

this climate change thing is all furphy in the minds of those driven by mythology, we will be forced to freeze as power becomes a luxury, they have no evidence in look and see hard copy, all theory worship

the reason our climates are out of wack too much forest and habitat destruction, it is now time to pay the piper.

Len said “too much forest and habitat destruction”
Yes, I’ve always thought that this is the main cause. You only need to look at Google Earth to see all the destruction that man has wrought – the overwhelming bulk of it in the last 100 years. Even on a small scale, foliage destruction can have climatic consequences. Locals have told me that the central midlands of Tasmania used to receive much more rain before they were totally de-treed for sheep pasture. The soil is so poor now that the whole area looks like a barren wasteland.

yes marge too simple really, but no money or power grab in it, look at tassy magnificent 200 year old trees reduced to mulch, this is not what the common folk want, all weather events are repeats of the past not indicators of furphy climate change, up here as they clear the last barrier to the desert influences qld’s is getting hotter days and more of them like vic’ and SA.

a carbon tax that will have people freeze in their homes if they have one more likely freeze sleeping under a cardboard box, Australia the rich lucky country, we nee to stand together united currently we are divided and we will fall
